Our Vine Classes will resume on Sunday, September 12, at 6:00 pm. These are short-term classes aimed at helping you to live a Christ-centered life. They are open to everyone. You may sign-up at the information table in the rear of the sanctuary or by calling the church office (835-3808).

REVELATION – Jesus’ Message to the Churches. This 10 week study is the first of four Precept studies on the book of Revelation. Revelation 1:3 states ”Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy and heed the things written for the time is near.” The class will begin Sunday, August 29 at 6:00pm. Each class will last two hours with class discussion and video. There is 5 hours of homework each week.

LIVE IN THE WORD – This 7-week study is part of “The Growing Disciples Series.” It focuses on helping you learn how to study, apply, and share the Word of God. Workbooks are $10.

MAN OF HIS WORD – This 8-week study is for men only. Using the teaching of Adrian Rogers, it calls to men to integrity and leadership at home, in the church, and in the world. Workbooks are optional at a cost of $10.

VALUE-PACKED PARENTING – This 7-week study is designed to help parents navigate through the turbulent waters of raising children. Using the teaching of Dr. Kevin Leman, parents will learn seven timely lessons for raising rocksolid kids in a pleasure-driven world. Workbooks are optional at a cost of $10.

WOMEN’S VINE CLASS-Anointed, Transformed & Redeemed: A Study of David. Join us for 8 weeks as Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur share their lives and explore the life of David in this women’s Bible study with video sessions. Sally Jo, Jane and Angela Wyatt will facilitate the class as we look at the different stages of David’s life as a young man, a middle-aged man and as a man facing the final third of his life. Workbooks are $14.

We are excited to welcome a new Sunday School Class starting for ladies on September 19, 2010. Please mark this date and plan to attend the opening of this new ladies small group Bible study. What an excellent time to grow strong relationship with other ladies while learning Scripture & life application. Susan Morrison will be your teacher and we look forward to you being a part of this
new growth!

In response to your overwhelming requests we will once again “Worship in the Park” on Sunday morning, September 26. Invite your neighbors, family, and friends to this special time of outreach and worship. Pre-service music will begin at 10:30 am at the bandstand, followed by worship at 11:00 am. There will be a cook-out lunch after worship with fun and games for children and adults alike! Mark your calendar and plan to attend! Also, we will have golf carts available to transport our senior adults from the parking lot to the worship seating. NOTE:  For those who are unable to attend “Worship in the Park,” there will be an 8:30 am worship service in the sanctuary.

 LifeLine Pregnancy Help Center is always in need of diapers for clients who are earning points to "buy" them as they take parenting and relationship classes.  Let's help increase their supply! Bring a pack of diapers to our service at the park on September 26th. It would be great to fill a truck full of diapers! Pray for clients to attend as we invite them to this unique service.

Our new fitness classes are underway with something for every age and strength level. Join us on Monday and Thursday nights at 7:00 in the Old Fellowship Hall. Please bring a mat and weights, though we have a few extras.

Childcare is available upon request. Please let Erin Blakley (466-5085) know on Sunday if you will need childcare for the week.

If you are a mom with young children, join us for a time to fellowship with other moms while our children play together. In September we will start meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at  11:00. So mark September 14th on your calendar and watch for more details..

WOW (Women Of Worth)
Our next meeting will be Tuesday, September 7th at 6:30 pm. Please join us as we engage in practical ways to share our faith in the workplace and in everyday encounters, led by Jenifer White. We need more men and women to come and sing with us as we lead worship on Sunday’s and begin working on Christmas music.

You are invited to be a part of REACH – a strategy for REACHing our community for Christ. This  strategy asks for every member to commit to help REACH others for Christ by devoting one hour per month to one of the following teams: 

1. Prayer Team – Reach up to God in prayer on behalf of the lost, our community, other believers, and those spreading the Gospel.
2. Phone Team – Reach out through the telephone to church prospects, guests, absentees, the sick, and hurting.
3. Writing Team – Reach out through the pen to welcome area newcomers, express sympathy to the bereaved, thank guests for attendance, or minister to shut-ins.
4. Inreach Visitation Team – Reach out by making home visits to our church members who are homebound, sick, or in need.
5. Outreach Visitation Team – Reach out by visiting prospective members, inactive members, and those without Christ.
6. Childcare Team – Reach out by caring for the children of those who are serving on one of the above teams.

Teams will meet from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th Sunday nights of each month  excluding July & December. Teams will return in time for VINE classes at 6 pm. Sign-up for your team today by filling out a commitment card and placing it in the offering plate.
