Fall 26 Discipleship Classes
We are excited to offer several discipleship classes this fall that will help us to Love God, Follow Jesus, and Serve Others. Classes are described below, but feel free to reach out to and Pastor with any questions you might have!
God's Mission, My Life:
Acts, Part 1
Pastor Stephen
God has always had a plan for His people, the church! In this class we will walk through the exciting events of the first part of the book of Acts as we see how God used the ordinary believers in the earliest churches Ito accomplish His mission. We will also see that God's plan for His mission has not changed, and each of us has a role to play!
Faith Foundations: Build Your Life, Make it Count
Pastor Sam
No one wants to look back on their life and realize that they missed the point. We want our lives to count for what matters most. Unfortunately, many people–including many Christians! –have not aligned their lives with God’s ultimate purpose. Join us as we discover how to build our lives around the purpose God has for us! This class will use the book Faith Foundations by David Platt ($3).
Women's Study:
Encountering God
Sarah Diehl
Spiritual disciplines are essential to a more vibrant spiritual life and knowing God more intimately. Join Kelly Minter in this 7-session Bible study as she unpacks the biblical foundation for these sacred habits along with approachable ways to practice disciplines like prayer, study, worship, rest, simplicity, generosity, celebration, and many more. Instead of being just one more thing on your to-do list, you’ll find that these habits of faith can actually create more margin in your life—providing peace and rest as you walk closer with Jesus. This class will use the book Encountering God ($10).
Tuesday Women's Classes
Both Tuesday classes begin on September 8. The morning class meets on campus in the CLC at 10am. The Tuesday evening class meets in the home of a church member. Contact the church for the address.
Tuesday Morning:
The Names of God
Discover Who God Is and Who He Calls Us to Be
With Kristi McLelland, Caroline Saunders, Blair Linne, Jennifer Rothschild, Kelly Minter, and Elizabeth Woodson
From the opening chapters of Genesis through the final verses of Revelation, God is known by many names—names that reveal who He is, what He does, and how He relates to His children. In this 8-session Bible study, you’ll examine names for the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and you’ll discover the impact each of God’s names has on your relationship with Him.
Tuesday Night:
Me, Myself, and Lies
Words are powerful. Especially the words women speak to themselves. All too often, what they say to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants them to speak to their souls. This 7-session study will encourage you to clean out the junk in your mind and replace hidden negative thoughts with positive truths from God’s Word.
Men's Groups
The Tuesday morning men's group meets at the church in Building A at 7:00am beginning on September 8tth. The Sunday afternoon group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month in the CLC, beginning on September 13th.
