Duvall and Hays offer an accessible introduction to Hermeneutics, or how to study the Bible. They include genre-specific chapters to help readers navigate the particularities of different kinds of texts.

Women of the Word, Jen Wilkin

Wilkin address the needed heart and posture behind the study of Scripture. She also includes a helpful process for studying God’s Word that can be used across all of Scripture. While Wilkin addresses the book a female audience, the study process she puts forward can be helpful to any believer.
